Junior Expert International (m/f)
in Bamako, Mali
The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration until May 31, 2019.
The place of work will be Bamako, Mali (ML).
The objective of this post is to provide direct support to the Country Director for the further development of programmes and projects on the basis of the specified framework as regards contents, scheduling and finances, and on the basis of the regional and sector portfolio and to secure the communication of Welthungerhilfe's work within the projects, with partners in Germany and abroad.
Your most important duties
- Development of regional/country concepts and concept papers
- Prepares co-financing and sponsor applications in coordination with the respective superior
- Monitors schedules and completion regarding narrative reporting
- Assists national staff in relation to project-specific, technical issues
- Participates in the preparation of regular reports on the implementation status of the project and local developments
- Participates in coordination committees (e.g. emergency aid situations)
- Fulfillment of any other tasks which are assigned by the management and correspond in general with the character of this position
- Give support for the project managers in the implementation of a project-related monitoring system (remote monitoring), including impact monitoring
- Networking with donors and other stakeholders
As a qualified applicant you will possess the following
- A university or polytechnical degree in a relavant subject
- Various internships outside of Europe
- Very good command of German, French and English
- Good writing skills
- Ability to work in a mutinational environment
- Abbility to work in a team
