Knowledge Manager Swiss Water and Sanitation Consortium (45 %)
The Unit Knowledge and Quality Management is responsible for the knowledge and quality management of the Section IC. The Knowledge Manager Swiss Water and Sanitation Consortium is responsible for the development, use, explanation and transfer of explicitly and implicitly available knowledge related to WASH.
Your duties
Manage and further develop adequate, user friendly and innovative tools for effective knowledge management and facilitate and strengthen knowledge exchange:
Support thematic advisors and project teams in the building of evidence of the signature approaches and Consortium’s innovation and advocacy efforts:
Develop and apply an approach/methodology to identify and monitor added values and WASH expertise brought by the Consortium while strengthening the reporting system:
- Administering, updating and optimising the Consortium’s intranet and the public Consortium website
- Designing knowledge sharing activities of the Consortium and its projects
- Support the regional advisors in dissemination, facilitation and training of Consortium members (e.g. webinars)
- Capitalising on signature approaches: identifying specific aspects, steering the capitalisation process and sharing lessons learnt and good practices as knowledge products
- Plan and co-facilitate global learning events/workshops in close collaboration with the regional advisors
Support thematic advisors and project teams in the building of evidence of the signature approaches and Consortium’s innovation and advocacy efforts:
- Contribute to the development of a Consortium strategy in the field of advocacy and policy
- Contribute to the external representation of the Consortium
- Actively support the building of evidence
Develop and apply an approach/methodology to identify and monitor added values and WASH expertise brought by the Consortium while strengthening the reporting system:
- Contribute to development of global reporting and monitoring tools and procedures
- Adapting data collection tools
- Establish collaboration with partners for technical support in online data collection and reporting
Our requirements
- University degree or equivalent education, various disciplines possible, further education relevant to the topic
- IC Theme-related work experience IZA, 4-5 years incl. practical international experience
- High basic competence in WASH
- Proof of publications and have a network relevant to the topic
- Conceptual and didactic-pedagogical skills
- High competence in written and oral expression
- Competences in process management and leadership
- Competences in the transfer of technical knowledge into operational work
- Independent work, time flexibility
- Solution-oriented approach
- Capacity for teamwork
- Very good language skills in English, German and French
- Readiness to travel
