Intern – Project management with a focus on evaluation
(Praktikant/in – Projektmanagement im Bereich Evaluation/ Internationale Entwicklungszusammenarbeit)
6-month – starting summer 2019
Your tasks include:
Assist in the implementation of complex evaluations, including:
- Participate in the implementation of data collection activities (surveys, desk studies, etc.)
- Undertake specific thematic analyses and research
- Data and document analysis and visualisation;
- Support contractual, financial and administrative management
- Support any further tasks in the day-to-day management of evaluation projects
Assist business development and tendering for contracts, which includes, among other:
- Assist overall preparation of offers, i.e. compilation, administrative documents, layout
- Research for potential partners
- Assist in identifying and recruiting experts
- Communicating with experts, partners and clients in English and, if applicable, French
Your profile:
- Master’s degree in political science, economics, international development or other relevant fields
- First work experience (internship, volunteer work) is an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and towards multiple deadlines
- Strong analytical and drafting skills and strong ability to process qualitative & quantitative data
- Strong communication skills and team orientation
- Sound command of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills on a constant basis
- Excellent command of English (C2 in the Common European Framework)
- Proficient written and spoken French is a strong asset
- Other assets: languages (German, Spanish), theoretical background in evaluation, knowledge of European Union external action
