Particip GmbH is an international consultancy firm, offering its expertise and know-how to numerous clients including international and bilateral organisations, national governments and the private sector. Our services focus on international development cooperation and cover a broad variety of sectors and themes. We carry out a significant number of evaluations each year, including strategic, thematic, regional- and country-level evaluations as well as budget support and institutional evaluations.
Our Evaluation Team focuses exclusively on such complex evaluations. Our current portfolio includes several important evaluation framework contracts, ad hoc evaluations, and support to other teams within the company to deliver high quality evaluations of all types. As of March 2018 our Evaluation Team is looking for a:
Project Manager
with a focus on evaluation projects and 3-5 years of experience
Your tasks include:
Independent management of complex evaluations from A-Z, including:
- Contractual and administrative management;
- Team management and backstopping;
- Financial management;
- Client relationship management;
- Data and document analysis and visualisation;
- Written contributions to reports and other outputs;
- Quality assurance (content & layout);
- Any other project management tasks that come up in our daily work.
Acquisition of evaluation assignments, including:
- Preparation of technical tenders and methodologies;
- Budget preparation;
- Expert identification and recruitment;
- Consortium building;
- Responsibility for complete acquisition cycle.
If relevant: Providing expertise as consultant in complex evaluations
Your profile:
- Master’s degree in social sciences, evaluation, economics, international development or related fields
- Strong command of project management tools techniques (min. 3 years of relevant work experience)
- Knowledge of international development cooperation (min. 1 year)
- Experience in conducting qualitative and/or quantitative research
- Ability to prioritise and to respect deadlines
- Ability to operate effectively with minimum supervision and high productivity and to assume responsibility
- Strong analytical and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to interact with counterparts of different hierarchy levels
- Excellent command of English (C2) and either French (C1) or Spanish (C1)
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Sound command of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
