Job Description:
With this job offer we are seeking an ambitious colleague who is eager to join our business area ‘Education’ at our head office in Cologne as a project manager working in project acquisitions and management.
Project Acquisition:
- Networking with partner companies, formation of consortia
- Expert search, negotiation and recruitment of experts
- Preparation of pre-qualifications documents and proposals, methodologies and financial proposals for international financing institutions such as GIZ, KfW, EU and World Bank
- Tender coordination
- Fact finding missions and business intelligence
- Budget planning
Project Management:
- Contract management with donors and partners
- Project planning and supervision (technical and administrative backstopping, budget management and control)
- Project monitoring and evaluation, quality assurance of deliverables
- Recruiting of experts and supervision of project teams
- Public relations and networking
- Execution of backstopping missions and short-term consultancy missions in assigned areas of expertise
Personal and Technical Profile:
- Academic degree in education, social sciences, politics or economics
- Min. of 5 years of experience in Technical Assistance related to the educational sector, preferably in a private consulting company
- Proven experience in project management in a multicultural environment
- Knowledge of donor agencies’ management, administrative procedures and technical requirements (EU, World Bank, GIZ, KfW etc) would be an asset
- Familiar with tools and instruments of TA delivery
- Excellent analytical and writing skills
- Proven communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel
- Professional level of language skills in English and German. Fluent language skills in French or Spanish are also required.
